WCO's concert cycle I is the first of Beethoven's 250th Anniversary series, featuring three award-winning soloists, Pianist Min Kwon (recipient of Gina Bachauer Award), Cellist Brannon Cho (Laureate, 2017 Queen Elizabeth Competition), and a virtuoso violinist and the Fairfax native, Brian Hong. They will perform Beethoven's Triple concerto for Piano, Violin and Cello. WCO will perform Coriolan Overture as well as the arias from Christ on the Mount Olives.

Midsummer Night’s Dream & Hebrides Overture

Gold Medalist of 2017 Van Cliburn Piano Competition, Yekwon Sunwoo will be performing Two Piano Concertos, No. 1 and No. 2, by Mendelssohn in this one night performance with the Washington Chamber Orchestra at the annual Benefit Concert. The Hebrides and the Midsummer Night’s Dream overtures will also be performed to celebrate the 210th anniversary of the birth of Mendelssohn.
