Amit Peled joined us with the sound of a Goffriler (ca. 1733), the historic cello of Pablo Casals which was personally handed to him by the Maestro's widow, Mrs. Marta Casals Istomin. His powerful presence and performance brought down the curtain on this magnificent season of the Washington Chamber Orchestra.
